With spring just around the corner and the Borders coming out of winter its a great time in the area and we have had fantastic weather for the time of year we are looking forward to meeting new visitors to speycaster cottage this year as always plus all our regulars that enjoy a revisit . If you have looked here at this blog you will think that its been out of date or not getting attention and you would be right but just in the last few hours we have finaly got back into it after all the hard work getting it going I will not bore you with it all but what a great breack getting back in as it was a great site . Down at the river theres always a great anticipation on the Spring salmon fishing and we are flat out chasing that first spring salmon as a full time ghillie casting instructor I can help you out with any thing fishing wise please just email me kevintweed@aol.com and I will sort it for you . The Spring time in the Borders is a fun time and the Walking at the moment under foot conditions are good on all paths with a dry spell over last few weeks the Eildons are also in very good condition even on the well used tracks . We are 15 minutes away from the Eildons infact you look out on to them from front door and theres the river walks 5 minutes away as well . Walks from the cottage are very popular and in a week you could do a different one each day leaving on foot plus bring your camera as the bird population is some thing different again . The most famouse land mark in the borders the viaduct bridge and its at the gate way for my work each day if you are looking for aquite and friendly area where you can relax and get away from it all try Speycaster Cottage and we will do the rest cheers Kevin
