29th January 2012 spring like weather has come into the borders its fantastic to see the light nights coming around its well after 5 till its dark and at the riverside walks the birds are just strating to sing abit agin its a fantastic time to visit the borders and plenty to see here my first sign every year and they are early so good spring ahead .

The long range in the area is looking fantastic for coming weeks right into February finally its settling down to give us ab it rest from the wind and rain and the muddy footpaths . Theres a real spring like feel today and the golf courses are going to get a great chance to dry out and most if not all are on full greens which for jan is fantastic . The Priices are also unreal if you get few good days you can play most for under £30 thats fantastic and the Berwick course at Goswick is only 45 minutes away where theres true links golf all year round that east coast is ad ream area for afew days out and travelings so easy . walking in the Borders is looking very good with clear days and getting lighter know by 4.30 its still light that's great news . Horse riding every wheres fully operational and theres some great places to go with in 10 minutes of the cottage you can have the choice of three different places hacking schooling or ahours lesson its all go a huge welcome meets you in this part of the Borders as its quite at the moment no queues or having to book away ahead so take a chance and enjoy a winter break with that long range its looking so good .cheers Kevin...
